Finchesa was created with a simple idea – to design beautiful, refined bags that women can carry for many years. Bags that become part of everyday life. But the most important part of this story is simple: Every Finchesa bag is made by hand by Anda.
Not in a factory.
Not in mass production.
But in the hands of one designer, working slowly and carefully in her workshop.
Anda – the artisan behind every Finchesa bag
The heart of Finchesa is Anda Žubule, the brand idea and designer of the brand.
Anda lives in Latvia and works in her own workshop. This is where every Finchesa bag is created.
Each design begins with an idea. Sometimes inspiration comes from nature, sometimes from everyday life and the real needs of women.
Then the real work begins.
Anda personally chooses the leather, the hardware and every material. She cuts the shapes herself. She stitches each piece. She assembles every detail with patience and precision. Every bag is made by her hands alone.
It is a slow and thoughtful process. Sometimes a single bag requires many hours and days of focused work. Anda carefully looks at every seam, every corner and every small detail. Sometimes it takes more than five attempts or prototypes before the final version is complete.
This is why Finchesa bags feel special. They are not mass-produced objects. They are individual pieces of craftsmanship.
When you hold a Finchesa bag, you hold something that Anda has personally created with time, patience and love for her craft. And this matters deeply to us.
Agnese – the visual voice of Finchesa
The second voice behind Finchesa is Agnese Blaubārde.
Agnese lives in Stockholm and works as an interior architect and photographer. Within Finchesa she creates the concept and visual identity of the brand. She photographs the bags and shapes the visual world around them – the mood, the colours, the atmosphere and the stories.
Her eye for light, composition and space helps express the calm, elegant and refined character of Finchesa.
A friendship that started long ago
The Finchesa story is also a story of friendship.
Anda and Agnese were born in the same place at the same time, without knowing each other.
About fifteen years later fate brought them together at an art college. They sat next to each other in class – and that is where their friendship began.
They studied design together, spent long hours discussing ideas, materials, art and life. That friendship continues today.
From Latvia to Sweden
After their studies life took them in different directions.
Agnese moved to Stockholm and built her career as an interior architect and photographer. Anda stayed in Latvia and continued developing her creative path in fashion and handbag design.
Distance never changed their connection. The shared values, trust and love for design eventually became the foundation for Finchesa.
Bags we wear ourselves
Finchesa bags are not created only as design objects.
They are bags we wear ourselves. We test them in daily life, carry them to work and on travels, and see how they live with us.
This is why every design is carefully considered – balancing beauty and practicality.
We believe a well-designed bag should stay with a woman for many years.
Finchesa is a very personal project for both of us.
